Councillor for St Pauls
Councillor Tabi Joy, St Paul’s
Hello! I’m really proud to be elected Borough Councillor in St Paul’s Ward!! Thank you so much for your support in making it happen. If you have a local issue you’d like me to address, please get in touch hereSt Pauls has been taken for granted by the Lib Dems for more than two decades now and deserved better representation on the council. There are particular concerns about traffic, safety and street maintenance, as well as a clear need for better public transport, better housing provision, and improved facilities for older people. There’s also the issue that, caught between the middle of town and the university campus, the needs of both students and long-term residents are often overlooked.
Now I’m on the council and have a seat at the table to represent you, I want to push for the changes we need to see.
Since moving to Cheltenham in 2017, I’ve worked in External Liaisons for Cheltenham Welcomes Refugees, and at the weekly hub with people seeking asylum. I’ve been a committee member with the Cheltenham and Tewkesbury Cycling Campaign to campaign for better road planning and active travel links across town. My background is in customer services, so I always want to try to tackle problems head-on and make positive progress.
I’m also helping to develop the Young Greens group and carry out public outreach activities to local groups and schools. If you’d like me to come to speak about our work or local climate action, please shoot me a message!
I look forward to seeing you out and about around St Pauls, but please feel free to reach out with comments or suggestions of ways I can help:
