Green Councillor for Prestbury
Councillor Jan Foster
My name is Jan Foster and I’m Green Party councillor for Prestbury.
I have lived and worked in Cheltenham for over 20 years. Prestbury has its own distinct character and I will do my best to represent the residents’ best interests, whatever their political persuasion, while working towards a greener future.
I have had a long and fulfilling career, mostly in customer service and education sectors, but I also have experience of volunteering at grass roots level both in Cheltenham and abroad. I worked in Prestbury for more than a decade and love the area. Now that I have reached retirement age I want to give my time to my local community.
As a Green I care deeply about climate, the environment, and empowering local communities. The decisions taken at a local level have an immediate effect on the quality of our everyday lives. As your councillor, I will listen to your concerns, represent you at the council and stand up for you, and work hard to keep Prestbury a great place to live.
We need strong and independent voices to stand up for Prestbury, and together with my Green Party colleagues Tabi Joy (St Paul’s) and Ashleigh Davies (St Paul’s) I will do just that.
