We have a team of officers and committee members who run the local party and coordinate our activities.

Louise FolkesLouise Folkes - Coordinator

Louise has recently taken over as Coordinator of Cheltenham Green Party from Lorraine Du Feu, and has been active in the party for a number of years. Louise has just completed a PhD at Cardiff University and is curently working in the universities sector. Louise is interested in understanding social mobility and inequality and how they affect communities.   


Peter Frings - Chair

Peter has been a member of the Green Party since the late 1970s, and moved to Gloucestershire in the 1990s. In 2002, he founded Brightsource, a marketing services company which has created over 100 jobs in Cheltenham. Although he still works part-time as a consultant, he is now able to spend more time restoring vintage cycles and gardening - as well as supporting the Green Party more actively. He's particularly interested in how we can force government and local autborities to comply with their legal requirement to ensure citizens have a right to breath clean and unpolluted air.


jess westJessica West - Social Media Officer and candidate

Jess is a self-employed translator and has been a member of the Green Party for several years now. Jess is involved in a range of environmental and climate breakdown groups in Cheltenham, and is pushing for more Green voices to make the changes we need to see both locally and nationally. Jess is particularly interested in electoral reform, the impact of climate breakdown on communities in Cheltenham and investigating innovative ways the town can cope with the climate emergency.

Adrian BeckerAdrian Becker - Election Agent

Adrian is a town planner and lifelong trade unionist and community activist. Originally from Bristol, he has now lived in Cheltenham for over ten years. Adrian believes in decent universal services free at the time we need them, not services sold for private profit and delivered by a postcode lottery. daniel willeyDaniel Willey - Treasurer

Daniel moved to Cheltenham for work in 2008 having previously lived and studied in Bristol. He is interested in finding local approaches to tackling the challenges facing our environment.
