Spiritual Activism with Heather Redington

Morgan, one of our local members, is organising a local short course addressing climate anxiety, and giving people a toolkit to help them shape their faith into action.

If you're struggling to handle the feelings of grief and overwhelm that climate change can often inflict on us, please make sure you're connecting with people and taking care of yourself. Things are tough right now, but we have to believe we can continue to make good changes to the earth.

A COURSE IN SPIRITUAL ACTIVISM

In the service of the Earth, her creatures and each other.

Wednesdays 6.30-7.30pm from 19th Feb for 6 weeks (until 25th March)

at Cheltenham Quaker Meeting House, Warwick Place, Cheltenham GL52 2NP

You will learn how to:

  • Develop the power of your heart and your breath.
  • Mobilise the power of intention.
  • Discover the enhanced power that comes with working with a group.

The first sessions will focus on learning how to develop a full heart centred breath and how this can be directed in the service of intention.

Each session will also include a group intention practice.

This will be of interest to those who care deeply about the planetary crisis and are seeking ways in which to contribute on an inner, energetic level as well as those already engaged in active protest

Pay what you can afford – suggested donation £3 - £5 per session to cover costs

The course is taught by Heather Redington, psychotherapist and teacher of Heart Rhythm Meditation, (www.iamheart.org) and draws on the work of Lynne McTaggart’s Power of Eight.

Please get in touch if you feel drawn to this course.
