Cheltenham Borough Council have just submitted the new and updated Cheltenham Local Plan to the Planning Inspectorate for approval.
This plan's been developed to help protect important Local Green Spaces across the town and further afield, particularly the Village in a Park concept at Swindon Village, an area of vital green space to the West of Cheltenham, and the historic and Valued Landscape of the Leckhampton Central Fields.
The council's being put under pressure to reduce the amount of anticipated green space in favour of development.
However, this contradicts previous advice on the matter, which recommends keeping the green spaces as they are.
Because of this, Leckhampton with Warden Hill Parish Council have issued a petition to call together voices in favour of keeping these spaces green and pristine.
